So, for all of you that don’t like how workspaces have “worked” in the past, take a look at this screenshot from the TFS 11 Developer Preview:
Looks like we have two kinds of workspaces now: Local and Server. Local is the default. I think the offline TFS access story is starting to look better.

Here is your first look at the new Team Explorer in the TFS/VS 11 Developer Preview. I’ve already connected to a Team Project named MyFirstTFS11TeamProject. The windows to the right shows the home view for your team project. You can easily return to the home view by clicking the house button located at the top of Team Explorer.
You can click the down arrow beside your team project name to select a different team project or create a new team project.
You also have what appears to be full text search over work items! WooT!
