5 Things About Me and some other stuff
Well, after a semi-long, not completely self-imposed blogging hiatus, I'm hopefully back in business. I've continued to keep the
Team System Rocks! News page updated pretty regularly, but my personal blogging has been slacking. I attribute that mostly to Christmas Holidays and being incredibly sick for several weeks. After lots and lots of tests, the doctors still aren't sure what the problem is yet, but I'm finally starting to feel a little better, so something must finally be working. Or my body has finally decided not to be sick anymore. Either way, its nice to start feeling better.
I've been cleaning out my blog list that I read, removing those that I don't read anymore, or don't seem to be posting, or are no longer posting about Team System. If anyone has any suggested blogs that I should start reading (Team System or otherwise), click my contact link and send them to me. I'm always looking for new things to add to FeedDemon.
Rob Caron tagged me in his post, Five Things You Didn't Know About Me. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to it, but in the interest of keeping this phenomena alive a little longer, here are the five things you may not know about me:
- I have two degrees, one in Physics and one in Computer Science, from Mississippi State University. Originally, my plan was to do computational astrophysics, but I got sidetracked somewhere along the way.
- I was a member of the inaugural class of the Mississippi School for Math and Science (MSMS), a specialized high school for your junior and senior year. Yep, we were the guinea pigs. And yes, we did try and make nitroglycerin our junior year. Couldn't ever get it to explode, but it burned pretty nice.
- I enjoy doing local community theatre, especially musicals. I have had the lead in several, including "Curly" from Oklahoma, and the male lead in Kiss Me Kate. I've also had the lead in several plays, including Plaza Suite and Man for All Seasons.
- I usually sleep only 4-5 hours a night. I've done that since high school. Every two weeks or so, I have a Saturday when I "crash" and sleep for about 10-12 hours, and the process starts over.
- I am the lead singer for Dusty Vinyl, an 8-person band (me, bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, and three lady backup singers) that performs music from the 50's up to current day. "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams is one of my favorite songs to perform.
Okay, now I am supposed to tag five people. That's going to be a little difficult, seeing as how it seems like everyone in the whole world has been tagged. But let's try: Chris Menegay, Dave McKinstry, Sachin Rekhi, Willy-Peter Schuab, and Dave Bost.
