There are now three very solid books on the market that can help address all your Visual Studio / TFS / ALM needs.
Up first is Professional Application Lifecycle Management with Visual Studio 2010. Ok, I’m biased, as I helped write this one, but it does give you a great introduction (into some depth I might add) of all the tools available in Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Team Foundation Server 2010. It’s a great place to start to learn all about the product line.
Next, is the newly released Professional Team Foundation Server 2010 book. Written by some stellar authors, this book really dives into some depth around Team Foundation Server. I served as one of the technical editors on the book, and I learned something with every chapter that I read. It is really an amazing product they have put together here.
Finally, there is Jeff Levinson’s new book, Software Testing with Visual Studio 2010. I’ve read the book, and there is some really good stuff in there.
So there you go. Three good references that you should add to your bookshelf, iPad, or Kindle (as the case may be). There are plenty of other books currently out there in the ALM space, and as I get my hands on them and read them, I’ll post some more suggested readings.
I would also love feedback on what books you are reading about Visual Studio/TFS/ALM. Please leave your thoughts in the comments section, or shoot me an email.
